CHAIN5 is a proud partner of EDU5WB. This project is funded by Erasmus+ CBVET and officially started on 1 January 2026. The goal of the project is empowering VET Education at Level 5 in the Western Balkans. The project brings together partners from across Europe and the Western Balkans to enhance the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training (VET) by developing EQF Level 5 qualifications. It focuses on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania, addressing a gap in the development of Level 5 qualifications while promoting career advancement and further learning opportunities for learners in the region. The project will last two years; on a regular basis we will inform you about the progress. We hereby send you the first newsletter.
The role of CHAIN5 is divers. Together with the project team we:
- develop a Level 5 Guide EU;
- develop and deliver training programmes for Bosnia and Herzegovina (about positioning of level 5), Montenegro (about development and promotion of level 5), and Albania (about further development of level 5);
- organise an international level 5 conference;
- organise advocacy meetings in the three mentioned countries.

As CHAIN5 we have been a partner in an international project (Erasmus+) about the need for competences that have to part of study programs in VET and HE, looking at professions in the Building and Construction Sector at the levels 3, 4 and 5 (and perhaps also 6) of the EQF. And how to guarantee the quality of those programs? What is the role of the teachers? How to use dual systems in VET and HE? What is the impact of the companies?
